Take the NEXT STEP in your Yoga Teacher Training

Are you a 200-hour Level 1 Yoga Teacher ready to become 500-hour qualified?

Our 300-hour Level 2 Yoga Teacher Training is led by some of the best teachers in Sydney, at an accessible price point, in our welcoming and inclusive environment.

The next round starts on the 8th November 2026. It is held Alternating on Sundays 9:15am - 4:15pm at Nin Yoga Penrith or 9:15am - 12:15pm online via Zoom.

Lets Do This

Want Support?

Being a yoga teacher can honestly feel kinda a lil lonely sometimes.

You bounce from studio to studio, class to class, holding space for everyone else while not always feeling like you’ve got much support yourself. A lot of beautiful yoga teachers quietly burn out that way.

That’s a huge part of why we created our training the way we do at Nin Yoga & Kaya Academy.

We don’t just want you to leave with more knowledge to try and fit in your alreday full brain. We want you to leave feeling connected to a genuine community of teachers and humans who actually care about each other and this industry.

Because a sustainable yoga career is not built by doing everything alone.

It’s built through community, ongoing learning, mentorship, collaboration, and having people around you who understand the weird, beautiful, emotional, exhausting, and rewarding world of serving others through yoga.

When you train with us, it’s not just “here’s your certificate, good luck and see ya round.”

You become part of an ongoing community.

A bunch of teachers continuing to learn together, support each other, ask questions, share opportunities, celebrate wins, vent when things feel hard, and continue growing long after the training finishes.

Through our online groups, meetups, mentorship, workshops, and trainings, we want you to feel like you actually have people in your corner while building this path.

I'm in!

Support & Sustainability

We want this training to support not just the way you teach, but the way you integrate it into your life too.

Over the year together, we will have honest conversations about what it actually means to build a long-term career in yoga. Not the polished (and often triggering) Instagram version of it.

The real version.

The version where you’re trying to balance teaching, finances, energy levels, personal practice, relationships, creativity, rest, while remembering to drink 3L of water in a day, alllllll at the same time.

A solid focus of this training is sustainability.

How do you continue learning and growing without completely exhausting yourself in the process?
How do you build offerings that feel aligned with your authentic self?
How do you continue teaching in a way that still leaves room for your own personal life, too?

We’ll explore topics like burnout prevention, boundaries, business, pricing, multiple income streams, mentorship, and creating classes and offerings that genuinely reflect who you are as a teacher.

But beyond all of that, we really want this training to feel like a community.

A place where you can ask questions, experiment, be supported, share ideas, and continue evolving alongside other teachers who care deeply about the practice, too.

Because yoga teachers tend to love learning. That's how we all got here, right? Once you start, you usually never really stop.

And honestly? We think that’s a beautiful thing.

Sometimes feeling a little... meh?

Maybe your classes are starting to feel a little too familiar.

Maybe you’ve been teaching the same sequences for ages, recycling the same themes, or feeling like your own practice has quietly slipped to the bottom of the priority list while you’ve been busy holding space for everyone else.

Sometimes we simply outgrow old versions of ourselves.

And honestly, sometimes we just need something new to light the fire again.

This training is designed to shake things up a little.

To inspire you. Challenge you. Expand your perspective. Get you thinking differently again.

We’ll dive into deeper philosophy, subtle anatomy, intelligent sequencing, energetics, nervous system work, business, mentorship, and all the weird and wonderful conversations that tend to happen when a bunch of yoga teachers gather in a room together.

Not because you need fixing.

But because continuing to learn keeps things alive.

It keeps your teaching evolving.
It keeps your practice honest.
And it reminds you why you fell in love with yoga in the first place.

I am ready.

What makes this 300-hour Teacher Training different from others, you ask?

As a teacher since 2015, and studio owner since 2017, there are a few key points to mention about this particular training that make it different from ALLLLL of the rest out there at the moment.

Sunday classes. We have noticed that most of our community works in full-time roles, and the weekend is full of commitments. Teacher training is usually not accessible (anyone else got little kiddies?!). So, for this round, we have scheduled classes on Sunday, 9:15 am to 4:15 pm in person or 9:15 am - 12:15 pm on Zoom, with minimal homework during the week, as we know you have a whole bunch on your plate already. FYI - It's not every single consecutive Sunday; some fall on holidays, and if you need to miss a Sunday here and there, that is totally ok too! We have a way for you to catch up with ease ;)

Extended payment plans. As someone who does not own a money tree out the back, the only way ongoing learning has been accessible to me is through payment plans. We wanted to stretch these out and give ourselves up to 52 weeks to pay it off at $80 a week.

Exceptional Faculty. All of the teachers in this 300-hour teacher training are absolute experts in their field and are respected by our industry and beyond. It has always been such an honour to bring these teachers out to Western Sydney, and we look forward to hosting them!

Every session is recorded. Have to miss a session? Totally all good. We will have an online resource for every single one if you need to catch up on our online platform.

Optional India Retreat. Teachers enrolled have the option to join us in Goa, India, for a 7-day retreat, which includes 20 hours of Pranayama practise with Gaurav Malik.

We’re DIVERSE. We have been running yoga teacher trainings since 2020 and have always been known for our accessibility and diversity. The same goes for our 300-hour.

We at Nin Yoga are based in Western Sydney, surrounded by people of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.

You are welcome.

Modules Explored

Advanced Alignment, Functional Anatomy & Womb Wisdom

This module is all about helping you teach real human bodies with more confidence, awareness, and understanding.

Together with Suzie Q, we’ll explore standing postures, backbends, balances, inversions, transitions, biomechanics, and functional anatomy in a way that actually makes sense when you’re teaching real students in real classes.

We’ll also explore Womb Yoga, cyclical awareness, and the different ways energy, hormones, stress, and life stages can influence practice.

Less “perfect shapes.”
More understanding how bodies actually work.

Subtle Anatomy, Energetics & Mudras

Yoga is more than muscles and movement.

In this module, we explore chakras, nadis, koshas, bandhas, and the energetic systems of yoga in a grounded and practical way.

We’ll also dive into mudras and how simple energetic practices can completely shift the experience of meditation, breathwork, and asana.

This is the kind of stuff that starts adding depth and texture to your teaching.

Yoga Philosophy & Sacred Texts

Led by Katie Rose, this module explores the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and Ayurveda in a way that actually feels relatable to modern life.

Less memorising philosophy.
More reflecting on how these teachings show up in relationships, boundaries, purpose, discipline, burnout, practice, and being human.

We want philosophy to feel lived, not just studied.

Meditation, Pranayama & Breathwork

Your breath changes everything.

This module explores meditation, traditional pranayama, nervous system regulation, and modern breathwork practices in a grounded and practical way.

We’ll look at:
• traditional breathing techniques
• conscious connected breathwork
• breath and emotional regulation
• nervous system science
• meditation practices for modern humans

Students joining us in Goa, India will complete 20 hours of immersive pranayama training in person. Otherwise, these hours can be completed online through recordings and assessment.

Somatics, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Restorative Practice & Accessibility

Modern yoga teachers need tools beyond “deeper breath everyone.”

This module explores somatics, trauma-aware teaching, restorative yoga, nervous system support, and accessible teaching practices so you can create classes that genuinely feel safe and supportive for a wider range of people.

We’ll also explore how to adapt postures, language, pacing, and assists for different bodies and lived experiences.

Creative Sequencing & Intuitive Teaching

This module is about helping you trust yourself more as a teacher.

We’ll explore sequencing, class themes, storytelling, assists, music, pacing, energetic arc, and how to build classes that feel intentional without becoming robotic.

No more just recycling random sequences from 2019.

Activism & Yoga for Social Change

Yoga doesn’t exist in a bubble.

This module explores accessibility, representation, ethics, inclusivity, cultural awareness, and how yoga can be used as a tool for community care and social change.

We’ll have real conversations about the role yoga teachers play in the wider world and how to teach in a way that feels ethical and conscious.

Sound Healing, Mantra & Yoga Nidra

There is something deeply powerful about rest.

Through mantra, sound healing, and 20 hours of Yoga Nidra training, we’ll explore practices that support nervous system regulation, deep rest, and subconscious healing.

You’ll learn how to guide practices that help students genuinely slow down and reconnect with themselves.

Voice Coaching

Teaching yoga means using your voice. A lot.

This module with a professional voice coach will help you develop confidence, projection, authenticity, and sustainable vocal techniques so you can lead classes without frying your throat or sounding like you’re pretending to be a yoga robot.

Business, Branding & Sustainable Career Building

Teaching yoga is one thing. Building a sustainable career is another.

We’ll explore branding, pricing, marketing, boundaries, multiple income streams, business systems, and how to build a career that actually supports your life rather than drains it.

A huge focus of this module is preventing burnout.

Seva, Self-Reflection & Community Engagement

Yoga is not just something we practice on a mat.

As part of the training, you’ll complete 20 hours of Karma Yoga (Seva) through volunteering or community support work that feels aligned for you.

This module is about remembering that yoga is ultimately about connection, community, reflection, and how we show up for others.

Whats Included

Comprehensive Teacher Training Manual

Our carefully curated 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Manual is designed to support you throughout the training and long after graduation.

Inside, you’ll find key learnings from each module, teaching tools, reflection prompts, sequencing notes, philosophy insights, integration exercises, and space for your own discoveries and messy little handwritten breakthroughs along the way.

We didn’t want this manual to feel like one of those giant overwhelming textbooks that sits untouched on a shelf forever.

We wanted it to feel practical, supportive, clear, and genuinely useful. Something you’ll actually continue coming back to while planning classes, refining your teaching, or deepening your own practice years later.

Access to the Online Learning Platform

Upon enrolment, you’ll receive access to our online learning platform, where you’ll find:

• Full access to our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training content for revision and integration
• Recorded lectures and modules from your 300-hour training
• Guided practices, breathwork sessions, and Yoga Nidra recordings
• Additional learning resources and reference materials

If you join us in Goa, India, you’ll complete 20 hours of immersive Pranayama training in person.

If you’re unable to attend the retreat, these hours can instead be completed through recorded modules and structured assessments via the online platform.

We know life is busy and layered, so we’ve intentionally built flexibility into the training while still maintaining depth and integrity.

Teaching, Assisting & Real-World Experience

This training is not just theoretical. You’ll be actively teaching, assisting, reflecting, experimenting, and refining your skills throughout the year.

You will complete:

20 Teaching Hours

These can be completed through your existing teaching schedule or through Nin Yoga community classes.

20 Assisting Hours

Hands-on assisting within real studio classes to help refine your observation skills, cueing, confidence, and ability to support students in real time.

4 Private Mentoring Hours

One-on-one mentoring to support your teaching voice, sequencing, confidence, career direction, and long-term sustainability as a teacher.

The goal is not just to leave with more knowledge.

It’s to leave with more experience, more confidence, and more trust in yourself as a teacher.

Karma Yoga (Seva) – 20 Hours

Yoga extends far beyond the mat.

As part of this training, you will complete 20 hours of Karma Yoga (acts of service).

This may include community teaching, volunteering, charity work, or offering support in ways that align with yogic principles and your personal values.

You are welcome to organise your own Seva placement, or we can help connect you with opportunities within the community.

This component reminds us that yoga is not just a career path or identity. It’s also about how we show up for others.

Private Online Community & Ongoing Support

One of the most valuable parts of teacher training is often the people you meet along the way.

You’ll be part of a private WhatsApp and Facebook group exclusively for your cohort where you can:
• ask questions
• share reflections
• celebrate wins
• receive support and guidance
• connect with fellow teachers throughout the journey

After graduation, you’ll also gain access to our wider alumni community, including the Western Sydney Yoga Teachers & Sydney Yoga Teachers groups for continued connection and opportunities within the industry.

300-Hour Certification (Yoga Alliance)

Upon successful completion of all lectures, teaching hours, assisting hours, Seva, and coursework, you will receive your 300-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification through Yoga Alliance.

Combined with your existing 200-hour certification, this qualifies you as a 500 RYT.

With additional documented teaching experience, you may later become eligible for E-RYT 500 status, allowing you to eventually facilitate and register your own Yoga Alliance teacher trainings if that path calls to you.

Post-Graduation Career Support

Graduation is not the end of the relationship.

We’ll continue supporting you through:
• professional registration guidance
• business and marketing resources
• mentorship opportunities
• further trainings and continued education
• community connection and support

This training is more than a certificate.

It’s a space to deepen your practice, evolve your teaching, build meaningful relationships within the industry, and create a yoga career that feels sustainable, authentic, and genuinely fulfilling.

Who Is This Training For?

Our 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is designed for yoga teachers wanting to deepen their practice, evolve their teaching, and reconnect with what made them fall in love with yoga in the first place.

This training is for teachers wanting more depth. More honesty. More community. More inspiration. More sustainability.

Not just another certificate.

Yoga Teachers Wanting to Grow

Maybe you’ve been teaching for a while and feel a little stuck.

Maybe your classes are starting to feel repetitive. Maybe your personal practice has slipped a little. Maybe you know you’ve grown since your 200-hour training and you’re craving something that reflects the teacher and human you are now.

This training is designed to help you refine your voice, deepen your understanding, and evolve your teaching in a way that feels authentic to you.

We’ll explore advanced alignment, subtle anatomy, philosophy, nervous system work, breathwork, restorative practices, sequencing, assists, energetics, business, mentorship, and much more.

Yoga Teachers Wanting Sustainability & Support

Teaching yoga can be beautiful, meaningful, exhausting work.

A lot of teachers quietly burn out trying to juggle classes, finances, personal practice, social media, energy levels, and life all at once without much support around them.

This training was created with sustainability in mind.

We want to help you build a yoga career that feels nourishing long term, not one that leaves you completely depleted.

Just as importantly, we want you to feel supported while doing it.

Yoga Teachers Wanting Community

A huge part of this training is the people.

We really care about creating spaces where teachers can ask questions, learn together, collaborate, support each other, and continue growing long after the training ends.

This is not one of those trainings where everyone disappears the second graduation photos are done.

You become part of an ongoing community.

Teachers Wanting to Expand Their Skill Set

This training is ideal for teachers wanting to broaden their offerings and explore specialised areas of practice.

Throughout the year, we explore:
• trauma-informed yoga
• somatics
• Yoga Nidra
• pranayama & breathwork
• womb yoga
• restorative yoga
• subtle anatomy & energetics
• activism & accessibility
• business & branding
• voice coaching
• assists & mentoring
• and much more

Who Is This Training NOT For?

Brand New Yogis

This training is designed for teachers who already have a solid foundation in yoga practice and philosophy.

If you are completely new to yoga, we would recommend beginning with regular classes and a 200-hour training first before stepping into advanced studies.

People Wanting a Quick Certificate

This is a long-form, immersive training.

It asks for reflection, participation, curiosity, practice, and genuine engagement with the material.

If you’re simply wanting a fast qualification to tick a box, this probably isn’t the right fit.

People Unwilling to Reflect & Grow

This training involves personal reflection, mentorship, discussion, feedback, and self-inquiry.

You do not need to be “perfect” or have everything figured out.

But you do need to be open to learning, evolving, questioning yourself, and growing both as a teacher and as a human.

If you already have your 200-hour certification and this whole thing sounds like your vibe, we would absolutely love to welcome you to the next training cohort.

Frequently Asked Questions

I Want To Start This Journey

Our Sankalpa to you.

“Sankalpa” is a Sanskrit term in yogic philosophy, meaning spiritual promise.

Here is the Sankalpa (intention) we hold for your experience:

1. Learn From an Experienced & Diverse Faculty

This training is led by experienced teachers and industry professionals including Ari Hunter, Katie Rose, Suzie Q, Karen Gruber, Brittany Kelly, Hayley Ashe, and many more incredible humans who each bring their own lived experience, perspective, and area of expertise.

Our intention is not to overwhelm you with information for the sake of sounding impressive.

It’s to create meaningful learning experiences that genuinely help you grow as both a teacher and a person.

2. A Deep & Expansive Curriculum

This training goes far beyond the foundations of a 200-hour course.

Together, we’ll explore:
• advanced alignment & intelligent sequencing
• functional anatomy & movement mechanics
• subtle anatomy, chakras, nadis & energetics
• somatics & nervous system regulation
• trauma-informed & accessible yoga
• Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita & Ayurveda
• pranayama, meditation, Yoga Nidra & breathwork
• voice coaching & authentic communication
• business, branding & sustainable career building
• assists, mentoring & teaching methodology
• seva, activism & community care

The goal is not just more information.

The goal is helping you become a more confident, grounded, thoughtful, and sustainable teacher.

3. Growth That Extends Beyond the Mat

Yoga teacher training has a funny way of changing more than just your teaching.

This training is designed to support reflection, growth, self-awareness, confidence, creativity, and deeper connection to both your practice and your life.

There will probably be moments where you feel inspired, challenged, emotional, uncertain, excited, uncomfortable, cracked open, and deeply supported all within the same month.

That’s normal.

That’s often where the good stuff lives.

4. Predominantly In-Person Learning

We intentionally designed this training to be mostly in person.

Not just because yoga is experiential, but because genuine human connection matters.

Especially now.

We know many teachers are already spending huge amounts of time online, working, teaching, scrolling, replying to messages, and trying to keep up with life through screens.

This training gives you regular space to step away from all of that and fully immerse yourself in learning, practice, conversation, reflection, and community.

5. Practical Teaching Experience & Mentorship

We care deeply about helping you feel capable in real teaching environments, not just inside the training room.

Throughout the course, you will:
• practice teaching regularly
• refine your sequencing and cueing
• receive constructive feedback and mentorship
• complete assisting hours in real classes
• develop confidence in your authentic teaching voice

We want you to leave this training not just more knowledgeable, but more experienced.

6. A Strong & Supportive Community

One of the most powerful parts of teacher training is the people you meet along the way.

You’ll be supported through:
• a private WhatsApp & Facebook group
• recorded sessions for revision and catch-up
• mentorship and ongoing guidance
• connection with other teachers across Western Sydney and beyond
• an alumni community that continues long after graduation

We really care about making sure teachers feel supported while navigating this industry.

Because honestly, trying to do it all alone kinda sucks.

7. Yoga Alliance Certification

Upon successful completion of the training, you will receive your 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification through Yoga Alliance.

Combined with your existing 200-hour qualification, this allows you to register as an RYT-500.

This internationally recognised certification supports you in expanding your offerings, refining your expertise, leading workshops, mentoring students, and continuing to evolve within your teaching career.

If this sounds like your kinda thing, we’d absolutely love to have you with us.

Let do it :)

It is a heart-centered yoga teacher training course, and Annika is the most amazing teacher you can ever have, along with all the people she collaborates with. You will have the best time of your life.

You will challenge yourself and find joy in all the little things. I just cannot say how much you will love it. I highly recommend it. "

"I just didn't realise the depth of what you would learn in yoga on the teacher training course, and I'm just so grateful it has just opened my world, my mind, my heart to a whole, a whole new world that I just didn't even really understand existed.

I'm so very grateful to all of the teachers Annika has collected and brought onto this course. They have all been phenomenal. They're all absolute experts in their subject matter.

I highly recommend it to anyone who's thinking about doing yoga teacher training in Sydney. Make the drive out to Penrith. It is amazing. You will not regret it. It's just been fabulous. Thank you so much."

- Ness

"My journey with yoga was very asana-focused and posture-focused. So, coming to my Yoga Teacher Training, I thought, "I know what I'm doing; I do yoga all the time. I know I can do this."

Little did I know that the internal, subtle energies of yoga really changed who I am as a person and has opened up an energy within me that I cannot wait to now take out into our communities and share.

Thank you, Annika, so much. I'm honoured and grateful to be a part of your community, and I cannot wait to share my journey with you and those around us."

- Jennifer
