Who Can Join?

You do not need previous teaching experience.

We do, however, expect students to have some experience practising Reformer Pilates before beginning the course. As a guide, we recommend having completed at least 20 Reformer classes.

Some students join because they know they want to teach. Others are already yoga teachers or movement professionals wanting to expand their offerings, while some simply want to understand Pilates and their own bodies on a much deeper level.

By the end of the training, you'll have worked through the practical skills, knowledge and teaching experience required to confidently step into teaching Reformer Pilates.

I just didn't realise the depth of what you would actually learn in the teacher training course, and I'm just so grateful it has just opened my world, my mind, my heart to a whole, a whole new world that I just didn't even really understand existed. I'm so very grateful to all of the teachers. They have all been absolutely phenomenal. They're all absolute experts in their subject matter. And I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about doing teacher training in Sydney. Make the drive out to Penrith. It is amazing.

Mary

Graduating in 2021, it's taken a while to get there, but I am now a teacher at Nin Yoga. It is a slow progress, but a transformative one. I signed up not to ever teach but to gain a better knowledge of yoga, but here I am. Teaching started with a friend and then now I teach on a regular basis and it's just fantastic. Seeing the pleasure on the students' faces when they leave has grown my confidence. I don't get as nervous about public speaking anymore. It's been fantastic.

Simone

I learned breathing techniques and how to hold my pose properly. I found an amazing bunch of women who I think will be in my life for a while now, for a long time, and everything about this class is just absolutely fantastic. I didn't want to be a teacher when I first started this, but now I think, and I feel, that that's what I want to do. That's the path I want to take.

Isobel

"I was really surprised. It's not all about just poses. I would recommend it any day to do a teacher training course, it's helped me so much. My confidence and the support that I get from the teachers have been absolutely amazing, not to mention the beautiful ladies that I have come in contact with."

Alex

It's built a lot of my confidence, especially of holding space for other people in this class, and I've just really enjoyed that time to reflect on what's important to me.

Linda has been a key mentor and friend throughout my journey as an instructor. Her reputation in our community spoke volumes. As a newly single mum, I was finding my feet, and Linda generously took me under her wing. She guided me patiently—from attending her classes to standing beside her on stage to eventually teaching full classes. After every session, she offered kind, constructive feedback and unwavering belief in my potential. One quote of hers has always stayed with me: “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.” Linda helped me land my first job, supported my ongoing training, and to this day, is someone I turn to for guidance. Her mentorship laid the foundation for my confidence and passion as an instructor and business owner. I’m forever grateful for her encouragement, generosity, and belief in me.

Karen

I love this space and the community around it. The teachers are all so knowledgeable and supportive, and I have made wonderful friendships and connections by attending classes, workshops, and teacher training here. The studio itself is a haven filled with plants, natural light and huge windows with views of trees and the park. I cannot recommend Nin Yoga enough!
