  • Days: Sundays

  • Times: 9 am - 4 pm, In Person, or 9am - 12 pm on Zoom.
  • Where: Nin Yoga Penrith - 51 York Road, Jamisontown or online via Zoom.

Graduating in 2021, it's taken a while to get there, but I am now a teacher at Nin Yoga. It is a slow progress, but a transformative one. I signed up not to ever teach but to gain a better knowledge of yoga, but here I am. Teaching started with a friend and then now I teach on a regular basis and it's just fantastic. Seeing the pleasure on the students' faces when they leave has grown my confidence. I don't get as nervous about public speaking anymore. It's been fantastic.

I just didn't realise the depth of what you would actually learn in yoga on the teacher training course, and I'm just so grateful it has just opened my world, my mind, my heart to a whole, a whole new world that I just didn't even really understand existed. The course structure worked so well for me (even though I prefer face-to-face, I appreciated being at home on Thursday night), and I liked having my weekends (mostly!) free. And the 6 months felt just right.

Before I started the training I was only in tune with the asanas, hard exercise and short meditation done during classes and I learnt so much more about what yoga has to offer! I knew there was going to be so much to learn and Nin delivered all the yogic elements in a very positive and supportive environment meeting every participant where they were at on their journey. I am on the beginning of my journey. I still really enjoy the movement but the meditation, breath work and chanting are activities that I am exploring further and I really enjoyed learning Sanskrit, and the philosophy, which showed me my personal beliefs on life were also recognised by others and I was no alone. Thank you again to providing this space, the high calibar of teachers and bringing our group together.

Suzi's knowledge is incredible, Ari's creativity, Keith's passion, Idit's complete calm and Katie Rose's unique perspective (so sorry if I am missing people!!). I would have loved to have done one of Idit's sessions in person!! FInally Karen and Annika, what absolute legends you are. It is obvious you have poured your heart and soul into this training and it shows. I will be forever grateful!
